So, I liked how the movie gave Newt a larger role, but I did like the books more than the movies. The man tells them the world has been ravaged by sun flares. When Minho discovers Gally is still alive, he is taken aback, but Gally quickly puts him, Thomas, and Newt in their place by declaring them to be insane. I loved the books way more obviously but after watching the first maze runner I realized they were probably gonna just throw out the real story and make up a new one.
