I will be visiting disney world, EPCOT and animal kingdom. Like others have said, Space Mountain is the hardest on me. I went on the avatar flight of passage ride and got the the front and was not able to get one. The great news is that there is no weight limit on rides at Walt Disney World Resort, which tries to accommodate guests of all ages and sizes on as many rides as they can. What is the weight limit? But at what cost? Mom and I are Pooh sized too. Finally, I hope I never grow tired of skipping down Main Street, USA, and my dream come true would be friends with the Fairy Godmother in my old age. Being overweight is a problem at Walt Disney World but not because of the rides. We are both undertall and could stand to loose a bunch of weight so we know what you are talking about. Im 510 about 310 Lbs I carry most of my weight in my butt hip and thighs, I guess an Ursula, minus the tenticles and manipulation. Besides the point. Splash Mountain: no issue at all, I easily fit into a seat by myself. Ive been looking at pictures of certain ride vehicles at WDW (Space Mountain, Test Track, Dinosaur, etc) and its difficult to tell if theyre roomy enough for me. Avoid if X-large IMHO. Just like the weight restrictions, there are no official height restrictions in Walt Disney World. I would start with something easy like the Great Movie Ride or the Universe of Energy. Im 58, 400lbs and have had zero issues with any Disney World ride, Space Mountain is a giant pain to get out of and the only thing I havent dared to try is Seven Dwarfs, otherwise everything is wonderful. You should be able to access all the rides as long as mobility is not a problem. He doesnt have any problem with any of the rides. That was a godsend! The only problem will come if you have mobility problems and cant climb up and down. Will I experience difficulties when trying to ride Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Slash Mountain, other Magic Kingdom rides, etc.? Would he have problems or are there rides that could accommodate him? It should be OK. Theres nothing that impedes the belly. My boyfriend and I were able to ride The Little Mermaid Ride and Pirates of the Caribbean fine, but those are so different then a roller coaster. The only ride I can say that I had a problem with was Snow Whites roller coaster. Dont worry too much about avatar flight of passage. Disney is a very inclusive company, so most of the rides are very non-restrictive, but for some tighter rides with unusual ride vehicles like Tron and Avatar Flight of Passage. Im worried about TT, Dinosaur, ToT, Soarin, BTM, and Haunted Mansion because 1. Some of the rides in Walt Disney World have some form of height or weight restriction, but since there arent too many people walking around over 7 feet tall, it really hasnt been a widely addressed issue.
